Attn: ALL Professional Athletes, movie stars, and millionaires in general. Please tell me that you as human beings can understand and reach out and help. As Americans, we look at YOU, and fantasize about what we could do if we had your money and talent. If every one of you just gave $500,000 ( a mere half million) to establish a fund to aid those AMERICANS devastated by Katrina in this time of need, you would be giving a most unselfish gift to those people who look up to you. Another chance at life. Imagine if you had nothing, you lost everything, possibly a child or mate. Please take a step back and remember where you came from and those HUMAN beings who helped you get to where you are today.

Very lovely, and hopefully useful post. Its terrible whats going on down there... raping and killing have become a common occurences in New Orleans. We need money to get people OUT.

Great site! I am hoping my blog finds some victims who have been ripped off. It is a forum to share experiences, to help prevent further potential victims. Some rants and raves and observations. It's cathartic to write down the experience.

Texas employers are laying off their employees to hire evacuees, because the government is will pay for half their wages. The Texas Work Force will not take any unemployment applications or help them find a job if they are not from Lousianna.
The only evacuees that are getting free housing, are the ones that was already on free housing in New Orleans. GOOD JOB TEXAS
