Curiosity

Obviously this post is not a review or an opinion on my part. I was just curious and wanted to ask this question.

Why do you blog?

Same reason I crack jokes at work... Sometimes it just HAS to come out!

I started blogging as an outlet for teenage angst. Then I continued to blog as a way to procrastinate from my studies. I now blog for all the reasons above, as well as to share my thoughts to friends and fellow bloggers.

WHy do you post?

I blog to entertain...I've been in the performing arts my entire life and blogging is just another stage to express myself and hopefully amuse others in the process.

I blog because it's my way to let people know me. I post only facts and funny stuff on the main page -- but the extended entries hold me intimate thoughts for people to read if they feel so inclined. I blog to take away from the stress of family and grad school... to have some place where my friends can relax and see they aren't the only one stressing :) Blogging is my addiction! Since I asked the question, I should add why I blog too. Plus, someone asked why back at me, so I guess that is another good reason to add some reasons.

I enjoy communicating and I think this is a wonderful outlet to express my thoughts and ideas. I almost always get some type of feedback. I enjoy sharing about information I know, find, see or do and this is an outlet for that. I find it relaxing, enjoyable and interesting. I hope blogging assists in improving my writing and editing skills.

Here at BlogCruiser I get to share my opinions on everything I find out there in the blogosphere. I could go on with a lot more but I’ll leave it as this for now anyway.

A place to go on because I can...:)

My key words for why I blog: communication, entertainment, amusement, education

A quote from a recent Fortune magazine article: "These are still the early days of blogging and the form is still morphing".

Blogging is, in a simple way, a creative flow. Our own creativity is helping define and develop the future of the blogosphere.

I've kept a diary since I was 12. It helps me keep my sanity. :)

I started blogging to educate others as to why the Right is right and the Left is wrong. After a few months I decided I was learning nothing. Now I blog to learn. My blog is an open invitation for anyone to express their opinion on topics suggested by my readers and carry on respectful, reasoned debate. I'm learning much more now and I've come to respect people whose opinion differ from mine...even those on the far Left.

I started blogging as an extension of my journaling.

I've been keeping a paper journal for ages, and I love the internet so it was just a natural transition.

Words pour out of my brain into my fingertips, it's not a painful process so I never attempt to stop it. The need to communicate everything that goes on has been in me for quite a while [15 yrs. aprox] & it's the only way to retain what is left of sanity & try not to drown on everyday mundane activities . _androidette [@ http://androidette.ipadder.com]

I started blogging as a way to organize all of the MANY things I find online that I find worth making note of. Bookmarking them all gets just a bit unwieldy, and this way they are also indexed / searchable online.

I have also found it as a great way to share my views :)

I blog because I'm a writer and I am constantly feeling the 'need' to write. Blogging helps me keep my skills in practice and allows me a place to vent as well.

I like having the ability to express myself anonymously. I used to be really into newsgroups and message boards, but I started to realise they don't work unless you've got a lot of people together who want to dicuss the same things. Blogs are great because you invent your own rules, or don't even have any rules. You can just be yourself and say whatever you want, and then if people like it then they can come back, but if they don't then they can just go away, it's that simple.

I like to blog because it is a way to really say what I mean and feel with out the backlash from people I know. Not that I write bad about people, it is more for me. When I tell people things I always have that, I wonder what they are thinking about me now. I know I shouldn't care but I do. That and I like to look back on things that I have previously wrote.

Blogging is sort of like joining a very big writers' club, only you don't have to clean the house or provide refreshments for your guests, and you can entertain whilst wearing pajamas, which practice is frowned upon in most traditional writers' clubs.
